Tree Pest And Disease Management

Our skilled crew has an acutely trained eye for spotting pest and disease problems early on. These types of tree killers need to be addressed early in their development in order to keep your plants from taking a turn. We choose to take a delicate approach to attacking these infections whenever possible in order to attempt to allow the tree to grow back to its full potential.

Our arborists will use precise pruning techniques combined with enriching soil and possible injections to give the tree everything it needs to win the fight! Of course some infestations are too severe resulting in safe removal being the only option to prevent the spread to nearby trees. We will give you our expert opinion on the best options and also properly assess your plants current status as some insects can actually be beneficial to your plants health.

Keep An Eye Out For EAB Infestation

Dead tree due to pest infestation

It's sometimes tough to notice an insect infestation, more often than not it will be spotted after the damage has been done. Currently in Webster, New York it is imperative to look for the signs of the Emerald Ash Borer. This insect is a non-native beetle that wreaks havoc on all ash trees.

Early signs of EAB infestation include a thinning upper crown or yellow leaves with dying branches. Certain signs of the bug are s shaped galleries under the bark and D shaped exit holes.

It's best to keep an eye out and if you see the signs, call an expert to assess the damage. We will be able to accurately come up with a plan to save the tree, prevent future problems, or properly remove the tree if necessary.
